Dogs for the Disabled

Dogs for the Disabled trains dogs to help disabled people live life more independently. The dogs are trained in practical tasks such as opening and closing doors, helping a person undress, even taking the laundry out of the washing machine.

Dogs for the Disabled is our chosen charity for 2008.  We currently have two puppies Tassie and Shadow. We are hoping to increase this number and recently staff took part in the Great Scottish Run., raising £1500 which enables us to sponsor two further puppies. Our first new puppy, Harmony, a four-month old labrador/retriever cross is presently living with her puppy socialiser. Fundraising continues.
